What the Center for Emotional Development collects on emotionalcenter.org, why we collect it, who else handles it and the choices you have. Last updated October 2026.

Who We Are

emotionalcenter.org is the website of the Center for Emotional Development. It is run by Organization and People Dynamics LLC, doing business as the Center for Emotional Development and led by Dr. Rupert A. Hayles Jr., Ph.D. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business.

We are based in the United States. Our address is P.O. Box 276, Hibernia, New Jersey 07842. For visitors in the United Kingdom and the European Union, we are the controller of the personal information described here.

The same business runs OP Dynamics at opdynamics.org, which has its own Privacy Policy. This policy covers emotionalcenter.org, including orders and conversations booked here.

Questions about your information go to info@emotionalcenter.org.

What We Collect and Why

We collect what you give us and what your browser sends when you visit. The table shows each purpose.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information, such as health, financial account or government ID details. Stripe takes your card details, not us.

Our Legal Bases in the UK and EU

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the law requires a reason for each use of your information. These are ours.

Who Else Handles It

These service providers handle personal information for us. Each one uses it only to provide its service.

We do not sell personal information for money. Under California law, letting Google Ads use cookie data to show our ads to you on other sites can count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. Other states call it “targeted advertising”. You can opt out at any time with Your Privacy Choices, or with Global Privacy Control.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights, or to a buyer of the business.

Your US State Privacy Rights

If you live in California or in another state with a consumer privacy law, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas or Virginia, you have these rights. Each law has its own limits. The business is registered in the State of New York.

In the last 12 months, we collected these categories: identifiers (name, email address, phone number, postal address, IP address), commercial information (what you bought), internet activity (pages visited), approximate location, and professional information (organization and job title). The sources and purposes are in the table above.

  • Know and access: ask what personal information we hold about you, where it came from, why we use it and who we disclosed it to, and get a copy.
  • Delete: ask us to delete the personal information we hold about you. We keep what the law requires us to keep.
  • Correct: ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising: we do not sell for money. To opt out of sharing and targeted advertising, open Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of any page and turn off Advertising, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information: we do not collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to limit.
  • Non-discrimination: we will not charge you more or give you a worse service because you use these rights.

How to Make a Request

Email info@emotionalcenter.org with the subject “Privacy request”. We confirm receipt within 10 business days and answer within 45 days. If we need more time, we tell you why, and we can extend once by 45 days.

We check your identity by matching the details you give with the details we hold, usually your email address and an order date. You do not need an account.

You can ask an authorized agent to make a request for you. We ask the agent for your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly.

If we refuse your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We answer appeals within 45 days. If you disagree with the result, you can contact your state attorney general.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising for that browser. Advertising cookies stay off, and the choices panel shows “GPC signal detected — honored”.

Your Rights in the UK and EU

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you can:

  • see the information we hold about you and get a copy;
  • correct it, or ask us to delete it;
  • ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to how we use it;
  • receive it in a format you can move to another service;
  • withdraw your consent to cookies at any time with Your Privacy Choices;
  • complain to your data protection authority. In the UK, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Using These Rights in the UK and EU

Write to info@emotionalcenter.org. We reply within one month. We do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

International Transfers

We are in the United States, and our service providers process data there. MHS is a Canadian company, and it stores assessment data in the United States. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, your information goes to the United States.

For each provider, we rely on the safeguard listed below. You can check each certification on the Data Privacy Framework list at dataprivacyframework.gov.

  • Cloudflare, Inc.: certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Stripe, LLC: certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.): certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. Its data processing agreement also includes the standard contractual clauses, which it applies to Swiss transfers.
  • Book Like a Boss (Book Like A Boss LLC, New York): the standard contractual clauses in its data processing addendum. It is not certified under the Data Privacy Framework.
  • MHS (Multi-Health Systems Inc.): the standard contractual clauses that MHS offers its customers for data from the United Kingdom and the European Union. It is not certified under the Data Privacy Framework.
  • Google LLC (Google Analytics and Google Ads): certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, its UK Extension and the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • IONOS Inc.: keeps our mailboxes in its US data centre. It is not certified under the Data Privacy Framework.

How Long We Keep It

  • Enquiries and registration details: we keep your messages and our replies in our email service (IONOS) for 3 years after our last contact with you. Registration details follow the same period.
  • Payment and tax records: 7 years.
  • Assessment reports that Dr. Hayles receives: 7 years after your debrief. MHS keeps assessment data under its own rules.
  • Analytics data in Google Analytics: 14 months. OP Dynamics uses the same property and the same period.
  • Cookies: the periods in the Cookie Policy.
  • After these periods, we delete the information.

Cookies

The site uses cookies and similar browser storage. The Cookie Policy lists each one, what it does and how long it lasts. In the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you choose Accept. Elsewhere, you can turn them off at any time with Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of every page.

Children

The site and our services are for adults. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site uses HTTPS. Payments go straight to Stripe. The site keeps no database of form messages or orders: they go to Dr. Hayles by email. Our content system, Sanity, holds the text of the site and the number of places taken on each cohort, not visitor details.

No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we tell customers by email.
